07 Opt-out & data deletion
Send an email to privacy@menumap.ai with your restaurant's name and website. We will delete your data within 30 days.
08 Website analytics & cookies
If you accept analytics cookies, we use third-party tools to understand how the site is used and to improve it. These tools set cookies and may collect your IP address, device and browser information, and the pages you view. They are loaded through Google Tag Manager.
These tools load only after you accept analytics cookies in the consent banner shown on your first visit. Until then, no analytics cookies are set. Your consent is the legal basis for this processing, and you can withdraw it at any time by declining the banner or clearing this site's stored data. For Google Analytics you can also use Google's opt-out browser add-on; Microsoft Clarity is governed by the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
We also use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to measure aggregate traffic and page-loading performance. These are cookieless: they set no cookies and use no persistent identifier or personal data, so they run without requiring consent.
09 Demo and pilot requests
If you ask for a demo or a free pilot through one of our forms, we collect your work email, name and company, and, only if you choose to tell us, how you heard about us. If you reached the form through a link we sent you, we also record that link's short code, so we know which of our messages you answered. If you came to our site through a link with campaign tags (the utm values in an ad's link, for example), we send those tags with your request, so we know which campaign brought you. We then show our booking page from Calendly inside the form, with your name and email filled in, so you can pick a time for the call. We use these details to arrange the demo and to follow up about it.
The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)) together with our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries. We use the following processors to handle your request:
We keep these details only as long as needed to handle your request and any resulting business relationship. To have them deleted, email privacy@menumap.ai.
10 Business outreach
If you work at a foodservice wholesaler, we may contact you about MenuMap by email or on LinkedIn. For this we process your name, job title, company and work email address. We find them in professional sources: your company's website, your public LinkedIn profile, and business contact databases.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in offering a service that is relevant to your work (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). We only send emails to people in countries where the law allows business emails without prior consent; elsewhere we contact you on LinkedIn only. We use service providers to find and verify work email addresses and to send our emails.
You can object at any time: reply "no" to any of our messages, or email privacy@menumap.ai. We then delete your details and keep only your email address on a do-not-contact list, so that we never write to you again. If you do not reply, we delete your details after 12 months.
